At STOOS Consulting (“STOOS,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), accessible from stoosconsulting.com, one of our main priorities is the privacy of our visitors. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, share, and protect information gathered from visitors, clients, and consultants across our global operations in the MENA region, Africa, Europe, and Latin America.

1. Information We Collect

The personal information that you are asked to provide will be made clear to you at the point we ask you to provide it.

  • Information You Provide: When you use our “Contact Us” or “Join Us” forms, we collect personal details such as your full name, email address, phone number, LinkedIn profile, professional expertise, and any documents you upload (e.g., Resumes/CVs).
  • Log Files: STOOS follows a standard procedure of using log files. These files log visitors when they visit websites. The information collected includes internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, Internet Service Provider (ISP), date and time stamp, referring/exit pages, and possibly the number of clicks. These are not linked to any information that is personally identifiable. The purpose of the information is for analyzing trends, administering the site, tracking users’ movement, and security monitoring.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data in various ways, including to:

  • Evaluate the qualifications of experts and consultants for potential field projects.
  • Respond to inquiries from client organizations, donors, and partners.
  • Provide, operate, and maintain our website.
  • Understand and analyze how you use our website to improve user experience.
  • Find and prevent fraud.

3. Data Sharing and Third-Party Disclosure

As an international consulting firm, we respect your confidentiality. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to any third parties. However, for experts applying through our “Join Us” roster, we may share your professional profile and CV with relevant third parties, including donor organizations, UN agencies, and partner NGOs, strictly for the purpose of proposing candidates for project implementation.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy. For experts submitting CVs to our database, we retain your data for a strict period of 2 years, unless you request its deletion sooner. After this period, your data will be securely deleted from our active databases.

5. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

Like any other website, STOOS uses ‘cookies’. These cookies are used to store information including visitors’ preferences, and the pages on the website that the visitor accessed or visited. The information is used to optimize the users’ experience by customizing our web page content based on visitors’ browser type and/or other information.
